Borja Iglesias reportedly stopped by security at Spain camp
Iglesias was reportedly denied entry to Spain's team base after security personnel asked him for identification.
Security reportedly did not recognise him, and the striker was left waiting outside before the situation was resolved.
Iglesias reportedly told security staff: "I am a national team player. I am Borja Iglesias. I need to enter."
The incident became a talking point because Iglesias was not a visitor trying to gain access. He was part of Spain's World Cup squad.
There is no verified evidence that the mix-up caused any wider disruption to Spain's preparations. It appears to have been an isolated access issue at a controlled team facility.

Why Borja Iglesias is with Spain in Tennessee
Spain are in Tennessee because Chattanooga is their World Cup group-stage base.
The national team are using the city as their tournament headquarters while Luis de la Fuente's squad prepare for their group-stage fixtures.
Iglesias is there because Celta confirmed he had been selected for Spain's World Cup squad.
The Celta Vigo striker earned that place after a strong domestic campaign, with his 2025-26 league return listed at 14 goals and two assists.
That context is what made the incident stand out. Iglesias was not trying to enter a place he did not belong. He was reportedly trying to get into a camp where he was already supposed to be.

The episode quickly became a light viral moment, but the central point remains simple. A Spain international was reportedly stopped outside Spain's own World Cup base before eventually being allowed in.
