The Atlanta Braves have dealt with some injuries to some of their key players, and Spencer Strider was the latest to hit the injured list. After making a start against the New York Mets , Strider was placed on the IL because of a right elbow issue, but there is uncertainty about his return, according to the Associated Press.

" Spencer Strider 's MRI revealed inflammation in his ailing right elbow, and the Atlanta Braves won't know the next step for their right-handed pitcher until the results are viewed by Dr. Keith Meister," the AP wrote.
Strider was pulled from the game after his velocity dropped to 88 mph while sending a six-pitch walk to MJ Melendez leading off the fourth inning. He was making his eighth start of the season after he missed the first 34 games recovering from a strained left oblique.
Manager Walt Weiss spoke about Strider's injury before their series finale against the Mets.
"You always expect to see inflammation when somebody's hurting," Weiss said. "So we just want to let Dr. Meister get a look at it and get his diagnosis."

The hope is that Strider's injury isn't too serious, especially with how well they've been playing this season.
Ronald Acuna Jr. was placed on the IL earlier in the week as he deals with a hamstring injury, and this will be the second time this season he's been on there for the same reason. Luckily for the Braves, they've responded well without their top player and are still at the top of the league standings.
