Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones continues to work back from his injury.
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive tackle Broderick Jones is continuing to work his way back from the season-ending neck injury he suffered in Week 12 of last season. However, he seemed to take some promising steps during the team's latest practice.
Jones was able to participate a little bit more than he has previously been during the Steelers' latest OTA practice, according to Mike DeFabo of The Athletic .
Jones had his fifth-year option declined earlier this offseason in what was a very unsurprising move, given how much his health is up in the air.
The option would have kept Jones in Pittsburgh through the end of the 2027 season, with a cost of $19.072 million, fully guaranteed. However, the former first-round pick now seems to be fighting for his starting job more than ever.
Jones expects to work on both sides of the offensive line whenever he gets back following the Steelers 2026 first-round selection of Max Iheanachor .
"It's all a business at the end of the day," Jones said.

Jones' injury required surgery, which is why the Steelers haven't given any kind of a timeframe for Jones' return to full health.
He added to that uncertainty on Wednesday, too.
"I really don't have a timeline. They never gave me a timeline," Jones said. "They're just monitoring it day by day. We'll go from there."
General manager Omar Khan admitted there was a "little concern there" as the team drafted Iheanachor with the club's first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
That, paired with the Steelers' decision to decline Jones' fifth-year option, certainly puts his future in Pittsburgh very much up in the air, especially if he can't return to full action sooner rather than later.
