Steelers great James Harrison admits to trying to recruit Joe Burrow

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been the topic of conversation recently, mainly for his off-the-field antics; however, his name is starting to come up as a possible future move.

Burrow’s contract comes to an end in three years, but that doesn’t mean the star quarterback can’t demand a trade.

Pittsburgh Steelers great James Harrison admitted recently that he’s trying to talk Burrow into joining his former team if that time ever comes.

“I’ve been conversing with him on here on a weekly, bi-weekly basis,” Harrison shared. “We’ve been having conversations. I talked to him on the phone yesterday.

Harrison added he believes that Burrow will eventually ask the Bengals to trade him to the Steelers.

“We’ve been talking about him… he’s going to go up there, talk to Mr. [Mike] Brown to see what he needs to do to get into black and gold.”

Even though Harrison may believe Burrow would ask for a trade to the Steelers, that’s never going to happen.

First of all, the Bengals would be nuts to trade Burrow within the division to their hated rival.

Second, the Steelers would have to give up a lot to acquire Burrow, and at this point, there is no indication that it will happen.

Plus, the Steelers were ranked among the worst organizations in the league by NFL players, so there is that.

So, Joe Burrow may want to play for a Super Bowl contender, but it won’t be in Pittsburgh.
