The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to show interest in receiver prospects ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft . Mike McCarthy's team is hosting UConn wideout Skyler Bell on a pre-draft visit on Wedensday.
"Bell is an inside/outside target with adequate size and field-stretching speed," NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein wrote in a scouting report. "He has the tools to beat press quickly and the acceleration/cut quickness to open clean windows. … The TDs left on the field due to underthrown passes at UConn will turn into NFL touchdowns with an accurate passer.
"Bell's speed and upside should make him a productive starter."
Bell was a first-team Associated Press All-American last season, as well as being a finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, which is given to the nation's top receiver. He ranked second in the FBS with 1,278 receiving yards and fourth with a Huskies-record 101 receptions. He also posted 13 touchdown grabs, another school high-water mark.
NFL.com tabs him with a 6.31 prospect grade, meaning he "will eventually be plus starter." He's the No. 15 wideout on the NFL Mock Draft Database's 2026 big board, and the No. 82 player overall.
The Steelers have also hosted Cincinnati's Jeff Caldwell, Kentucky's Kendrick Law and Washington's Denzel Boston on pre-draft visits at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. The team met with a bevy of receivers at the NFL Scouting Combine, as well.
