PITTSBURGH —Offensive lineman Jack Driscoll left practice during the portion of Monday's practice that was open to the media with a member of the team's training staff.
The absence from practice came after a tough preseason game for Driscoll against the New York Jets on Friday night.
Driscoll was on the field for a pair of sacks against Drew Allar , who was pressured all game.
"The execution, the details of the execution, was not consistent enough tonight," head coach Mike McCarthy said after the game. "It showed up."
Driscoll joined the Steelers mid-season in 2025, adding depth to the offensive line after injuries to Broderick Jones and Andrus Peat . He did not appear in a game.
This year, with Jones returning from injury and the selection of Max Iheanachor in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft , Driscoll has mostly worked with the third team. With Iheanachor back at practice on Monday and looking healthy enough to start the season on the 53-man roster, Driscoll's chances of making the team coming out of the preseason appear to be slim, even if he is able to quickly return to practice participation.
