The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed tackle Jack Driscoll on the injured reserve list, designated to return, meaning that he will miss at least the first four weeks of the 2026 regular season.
Driscoll suffered an ankle injury during practice last week, missing the final session and the Steelers' preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.
With the Steelers trading former first-round pick Broderick Jones to the Dallas Cowboys and placing Driscoll on the injured reserve list, the club appears set to go into the season with just three tackles on their 53-man roster: Troy Fautanu , Dylan Cook and Max Iheanachor.

Driscoll joined the Steelers mid-season in 2025 and returned to the team on a one-year contract for 2026 this March.
Driscoll first signed to the Steelers' practice squad on Oct. 29, and he was elevated from the practice squad twice before being added to the 53-man roster on Dec. 31, after injuries mounted at tackle, including Jones and backups Andrus Peat and Calvin Anderson. Driscoll did not actually appear in a single game for the Steelers.
Originally a fourth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Driscoll spent five seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles. He played in 67 games during his career, including 18 starts.
Driscoll has ties to Steelers assistant general manager Andy Weidl, who was the vice president of player personnel for the Eagles when Driscoll was drafted.
He started one game for the Eagles in 2024. He won a Super Bowl championship when the Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 40–22 in Super Bowl LIX. He played most of his snaps at right tackle and right guard in Philadelphia.
The Steelers can return up to eight players from the IR over the course of the regular season, and because they were placed on IR before the cut-down deadline, both Driscoll and safety DeShon Elliott will automatically count against the eight.
