The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed defensive lineman Logan Lee on the reserve/injured list, the team announced on Thursday .
Lee missed his seventh straight practice on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The nature of Lee's injury has not been disclosed.
The Steelers selected Lee in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft after a productive career at Iowa, where he developed into one of the Big Ten's most reliable defensive linemen.
Lee has struggled to stay healthy in the NFL. After spending his rookie year on injured reserve following a preseason calf injury, Lee finally made his NFL debut in 2025. Appearing in seven games, he recorded two tackles, one quarterback hit and two passes defended while continuing to learn Pittsburgh's defensive system.
Lee spent much of his sophomore season developing within Pittsburgh's defensive system while competing for depth-chart positioning along the defensive front.
"Coming into the [2025] season, I ended up staying healthy. I was actually able to contribute a little bit… The first five [games] was kind of just really trying to take the training wheels off a little bit," Lee said in April on Off The Air With Matt Randazzo . "The last five games, I dressed again, and i was actually able to make a little bit of an impact. I got more plays, I got more production… The back half of the year, I just said 'send it.' So, that helped quite a bit."

With Lee out, rookie Gabriel Rubio has taken advantage of the additional reps.
Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy praised Rubio during his pre-practice interview on Monday.
"The biggest thing for those young guys down in the trenches is, do they belong? …. And Gabe definitely belongs," McCarthy said.
In a corresponding move to Lee being placed on IR, the Steelers signed veteran linebacker Elandon Roberts .
