The Pittsburgh Steelers put the finishing touches on their offensive line in the latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft.
There is a strong belief the Pittsburgh Steelers will add another playmaker to their offense with their first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. However, Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis thinks they will opt to put the finishing touches on their offensive line, instead.
In his latest mock draft, Sharp has the Steelers trading pick Nos. 21, 76 and 135 in exchange for pick No. 15, which they then use to select Penn State offensive guard Olaivavega Ioane .
"With seven picks in the first four rounds, Pittsburgh has plenty of draft capital to make a move up to grab Ioane," Sharp wrote . "Unlike some of the other offensive lineman prospects, there are no questions about what position Ioane will play at the next level. In fact, some think Ioane is one of the most ready plug-and-play prospects in the entire class."
Ioane, who stands 6-foot-4 and weighs 320 pounds and played in 44 games for the Nittany Lions over four seasons, could fill a questionable hole on the Steelers offensive line.
Starting left guard Isaac Seumalo signed with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency and the team has only added former undrafted free agent Brock Hoffman to compete with former seventh-round pick Spencer Anderson for the job.
However, if the Steelers were to land Ioane, he would likely join former top picks Broderick Jones , Troy Fautanu and Zach Frazier as cornerstones along the offensive line for 2026 and beyond.
At least that's what many, including former Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger , are hoping happens.
"Losing Isaac, an interior lineman, I think was a big deal," Roethlisberger said . "Getting [Michael] Pittman — I think takes receiver off the board at No. 1. You don't need to do that. I would not mess with a quarterback. Even if Aaron [ Rodgers ] says he's not coming back, I would not mess with quarterback. I would stay away from that. I would stay away from running back. I would do what I originally said and get a lineman."
