Azzi Fudd finally called out Stephen Curry for something fans probably never expected, his absence from her games at UConn Huskies women's basketball, CFBN reports.
During Friday's episode of Fudd's "Fudd Around and Find Out" podcast, the Huskies star jokingly confronted Curry over never making the trip to watch her play in college despite their longtime relationship dating back years.
"You know what Steph, I have a bone to pick with you," Fudd told Curry. "I was in college for five years. … Granted, I didn't play a lot, but it was still five years of opportunities for you to come to a game. And you didn't."
Curry quickly admitted she had a point before shifting the blame elsewhere.
"You're right," Curry said. "I am going to deflect the blame on Adam Silver for not scheduling us in the northeast at a certain point or at least giving us a day off."
The NBA superstar also joked that former Warriors executive Larry Riley deserved some blame too because Curry originally hoped to land with the Knicks during the 2009 NBA Draft.
Curry Promises to Make It Up
Curry did not completely dodge responsibility. The Golden State Warriors guard promised he would try to make up for missing all five seasons of Fudd's college career.
"I am going to try and make up for five years in one night," Curry said while referencing the June 17 matchup between the Dallas Wings and Golden State Valkyries .
Azzi Fudd did not sound fully convinced.
"I'll believe it when I see it," she responded. "We'll see if I forgive you."
The relationship between Curry and Fudd stretches back to 2018 when she attended his SC30 Select Camp. Since then, many basketball fans have compared Fudd's perimeter shooting style to Curry's game.
