The Indiana Fever begin their WNBA postseason campaign on Sunday, and Stephanie White lamented that they have to do it without one key player.
The Las Vegas Aces loom large in the Indiana Fever 's path in the first round of the 2026 WNBA Playoffs. Taking on the likes of A'ja Wilson, Jackie Young , and Chelsea Gray will be far from an easy task.
As if it wasn't already a challenge, the Fever have a new wrinkle to face going into the series. Veteran guard Tyasha Harris has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a broken left fibula.
The 28-year-old has been key for Indiana off the bench this season. Head coach Stephanie White didn't mince words when discussing the injury.

Stephanie White says Tyasha Harris injury is 'heartbreaking', says team will 'be with her'
In her seventh WNBA season, Harris played a key role for White and her side off the bench. She has averaged 4.1 points and 2.0 assists per game this season, but her impact is greater than just that.
The head coach's comments on her absence for the rest of the season after her injury during the final game of the season provide further insight into Harris' importance to the team.
"It's heartbreaking," the Fever coach said. "Certainly, an emotional locker room after the game. Ty means a lot to us as a human being and she means a lot to us as a player, too.
"I hate it for her because she worked so hard to get back. We're going to be with her through all of it… On the floor, she's been a big part of what we do. She's been a floor general for us… We're gonna miss her on the floor."
Raven Johnson is the next player up for Indiana in Harris' absence. The Fever need to be firing on all cylinders if they are going to make it past the Aces in the first round.
