The Golden State Warriors are locked into the No. 10 seed, but that doesn’t mean they can’t build momentum going into the Play-In tournament. It might be the best thing for them to do, especially with Stephen Curry back in the fold. Their next matchup is against the Los Angeles Lakers , a team that was hot one week and lost all of its power after injuries to Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves .
As for the Warriors, Curry was isted on the injury report with right knee injury management, which makes sense after he’s missed a lot of games due to the issue.
Here is Curry’s injury status ahead of the game.
Stephen Curry’s injury status vs. Lakers
Curry has been ruled out against the Lakers. This will be the first game of a back-to-back for the Warriors, and they could plan to play him tomorrow against the Sacramento Kings .
Either way, Curry gets a rest day, and it would be in the Warriors’ best interest to do so if they want to keep him fresh.
Curry has been on a minutes restriction since coming back, and he’s also come off the bench. They may continue for the remainder of the regular season so he can possibly be at full go when the play-in starts.
This is familiar territory for the Warriors as they were in the play-in last season, and they escaped to face the Houston Rockets in the first round. They won’t have the manpower they had last season in the playoffs, but as long as Curry is on the floor, anything is possible.
