The Los Angeles Lakers made a flurry of moves on the second day of free agency, with the biggest one being acquiring Walker Kessler from the Utah Jazz . The Lakers now have their center of the future and a new Big 3 of Kessler, Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Though it sounds like a solid group of players, Stephen A. Smith is not impressed at all.

"Where the h–l the Los Angeles Lakers think they're going with a bunch of white dudes," Smith said on his show. "Your top 3 players are white dudes. This ain't golf; this ain't baseball. It ain't even soccer."
"In NBA history, when have you seen your three most prominent players on a basketball team all be white and that takes you to the promised land? Somebody gotta say it, so I'm saying it," Smith said.
This should be no surprise from Smith that he went off on a tangent like this because he's good for it every once in a while. He's not the only one who has made the joke since Kessler signed with the Lakers, as social media is having a field day.

As for the Lakers, regardless of the skin color, they have a lot more talent than they did when free agency initially started. Outside of adding Kessler, they signed Collin Sexton , Quentin Grimes and Sandro Mamukelashvili on Day 2, and they may be far from finished.
After LeBron James announced that he wouldn't be returning to the Lakers, the franchise knew they'd have enough space to add some players to surround Doncic and Reaves with. Now, the only hope is that those pieces fit together and help the Lakers in the present and the future.
