- Syracuse Basketball: women picked 7th and men 11th in ACC Preseason Poll
The ACC Tip-Off event was last week, but the ACC decided to wait until yesterday afternoon to announce the Preseason Polls and All-ACC Teams.
Felisha Legette-Jack's squad was voted 7th in the preseason poll between Virginia and Virginia Tech. Last year the Orange finshed the season 7th in between Virginia Tech and Virginia. The voters expect the ACC regular season title to come down to Duke and Louisville this season.
Uche Izoje was the only Syracuse player selected to one of the All-ACC Preseason Teams. Last year's ACC Rookie of the Year received the fourth-higest vote total behind Hannah Hidalgo (Notre Dame), Toby Fournier (Duke), and Kymora Johnson (Virginia). North Carolina's Kate Harpring was the top vote-getter for ACC Preseason Rookie of the Year.

The Syracuse men were picked to finish 11th in the Preseason Poll. Duke was the landslide selection to win the ACC title this season. Virginia's Thijs De Ridder was selected as the ACC Preseason Player of the Year, and Duke's Joaquim Boumtje Boumtje was chosen as ACC Preseason Rookie of the Year
The Orange seem to be a team that a lot of people aren't sure how to evaluate, but the Orange will get four of the top five teams in this poll in the Dome this year.
