Kara Lawson, Team USA defeat China in FIBA Women's World Cup
Team USA (1-0) defeated China (0-1), 94-61, on Friday in the FIBA Women's World Cup .
Team USA is in Group D play, along with Italy, Czechia and China.
Former Lady Vol Kara Lawson is serving at Team USA's head coach. She played at Tennessee from 1999-2003 under head coach Pat Summitt .

Paige Bueckers, Sonia Citron, Rhyne Howard, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Kiki Iriafen, Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier, Caitlin Clark , Jackie Young, Aliyah Boston and Angel Reese are on roster for Team USA.
Clark recorded a double-double for Team USA, totaling 14 points and 10 assists. Howard and Bueckers scored 14 points each, while Young finished with 12 points.
Clark had the most assists without a turnover in a World Cup game in Team USA history. She is also the first player in FIBA World Cup history to have a game with 10-plus points, 10-plus assists and zero turnovers.
Reese led Team USA in rebounds (nine) in her World Cup debut.
