Team USA is all set to defend their crown at the FIBA World Cup which will kick off in a few days. The team is strong with a number of talented debutantes as well, including Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese themselves.
Going into the tournament, it is clear that the team in general looks and feels quite confident, even as their previous appearance had its own challenges. Despite their oozing confidence, the US women's team has been repeatedly warned against one particular team, right from the time the schedules were released.
Team USA will most definitely lock horns with Team France at some point in the World Cup, and analysts and fans of the team are sorely afraid for them. The French girls gave the Americans a run for their money the last time they faced-off and are only coming in stronger. Team France has the likes of Gabby Williams and Dominique Malonga in their roster, whom Chiney Ogwumike feels is a major threat to Team USA.
"The list is long and deep. Dominique Malonga, who's an All-Star, the third youngest All-Star ever. And, of course, headlined by the one Gabby Williams. So, France is on the rise." Chiney Ogwumike said.

Ogwumike even reminded Team USA that Malonga has often been compared to Victor Wembanyama in the NBA. Wemby came pretty close to winning the title recently, but lost to the Knicks. If Malonga is as every bit as good as they claim she is, the Americans will surely be in a lot of trouble before they can even start playing.
Team USA Spot Gets Paige Bueckers Emotional And Grateful
Team USA will be seeing a number of fresh faces make their debut in this World Cup, including Paige Bueckers and even Aliyah Boston. Bueckers was recently asked about her first time paying for her country in the World Cup and the Wings icon could not be more pleased.

"Very thankful for the opportunity for them believing in me…" Paige Bueckers said in the press-conference.
Bueckers is obviously one of the players whom fans are clearly excited about watching in the World Cup, with the baller admitting that she is bound to annoy the veterans with too many questions. Of course, many are also excited to see Caitlin Clark make her debut in the World Cup for Team USA.
