Tennessee football defensive lineman Jamal Wallace will enter the transfer portal after two seasons with the Vols.
"Vol family you guys have blessed me with a amazing opportunity in life and I will always appreciate you," Wallace wrote on X on Dec. 1.
Wallace is the second UT player to announce his intention to enter the portal, which opens Jan. 2. Defensive back Boo Carter plans to enter the portal after being dismissed from the team.
Wallace came to Tennessee in 2024 as a junior college transfer. The 6-foot-3, 313-pounder was plagued by injuries in the 2024 season, played only three games and took a redshirt. He played six games and made four tackles in the 2025 season.
Wallace played in only one of UT's last seven games. He will have one season of eligibility remaining.
Meanwhile, No. 24 Tennessee (8-4, 4-4 SEC) awaits its bowl bid, which will be announced on Dec. 7.
