Tennessee freshman guard plans to enter transfer portal

A member of Tennessee’s 2025-26 roster entered the NCAA transfer portal on Tuesday. Vols’ freshman guard Amari Evans declared his entry into the transfer portal, according to Joe Tipton of On3 .

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound guard is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and played for Overtime Elite in Atlanta, Georgia while high school. 247Sports ranked him as the No. 11 small forward and No. 4 player in Georgia when he committed to the Vols’ 2025 signing class.

In his lone season at Tennessee, Evans averaged 4.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
