Of the top 10 transfers in Big Ten football for 2026, one USC player made the list. USA TODAY Sports has more on Terrell Anderson:
"There are a lot of targets up for grabs at USC after starters Makai Lemon and Ja'Kobi Lane were selected early in the 2026 NFL Draft. Enter Terrell Anderson , a transfer from NC State. Anderson will lead USC's receivers alongside returner Tanook Hines , catching passes from one of the top returning quarterbacks nationally in Jayden Maiava . Anderson finished the 2025 season with 39 receptions for 625 yards with five touchdowns, and was the No. 10 ranked player overall in the transfer portal, per 247Sports' Composite rankings. The top two receivers usually eat in Lincoln Riley's offense, and Anderson is in line for a productive season."
USC needs this particular portal pickup to hit. Other portal acquisitions at the receiver spot did not pan out, memorably Dorian Singer from Arizona a few seasons ago. USC needs Anderson to be every bit as good as Tanook Hines so that USC has a strong 1-2 combination this season. Then the Trojans need depth pieces to emerge so that Jayden Maiava can spread the ball around the field and keep defenses guessing. USC can't just have one or two stars at receiver. The Trojans need quality depth to substantially improve their passing game compared to 2025.
