Texas football gets encouraging recruiting update on 2027 four-star

As Longhorns football looks to add to its 2027 class, one player to keep an eye on is Noah Roberts. The four-star prospect has the potential to be a future star and could be a special player at the college level. On Sunday, Roberts revealed his top ten and included the Longhorns .

While Steve Sarkisian and his staff would benefit from having Roberts in the mix, they will face competition. The other schools in his top ten are Notre Dame, Tennessee, Oregon, Michigan, Ohio State, Arizona State , Washington, Oklahoma, and USC. Due to his play, the heavy interest comes as no surprise.

Currently, the Arizona native is ranked as the 12th-best running back in his class by 247Sports . They also rank him as the third-best player from Arizona and the 218th-best player in the nation. His high ranking is partly due to a stellar 2024 campaign.

During his sophomore season, the Basha High product ran for 1,067 yards on 152 carries and scored 19 touchdowns. Roberts also contributed as a receiver, catching 32 passes for 358 yards. His versatility has made him a sought-after recruit.

If Roberts were to commit to Texas, he would be part of a 2027 class that currently features four-star wide receiver Easton Royal and three-star cornerback Karnell James. That list should grow over the next few months with plenty of room to add.

As Roberts continues to weigh his options, he will be a player to watch. The Longhorns have done well when it comes to developing running backs, and Roberts has impressed many scouts nationwide.
