Texas A&M players break down Pro Day performances and Aggie careers

Texas A&M football is gearing up for a historic NFL Draft, with more than a dozen Aggies carrying pre‑draft grades, including four prospects projected inside rounds 1–4. It’s the kind of talent surge that elevates a program into the next tier of college football royalty and strengthens Mike Elko’s recruiting momentum following his recently signed six‑year contract extension.

One of the biggest benefits of Pro Day is the spotlight it provides for players who didn’t receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine. After the season Texas A&M just delivered, a strong contingent of NFL personnel made the trip to Aggieland, giving prospects like Nate Boerkircher , Deuce Fatheree, EJ Smith , and several others a valuable opportunity to showcase their skills .

A strong performance can put a player firmly on a team’s radar. Even without a draftable grade, a UDFA signing can be just as advantageous, often giving players more control over their landing spot than a late‑round selection. Wednesday’s event featured 23 Aggies, with every position group represented except quarterback and safety.
