Texas A&M star KC Concepcion drawing major NFL draft buzz at combine
Through the first day of the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, four of the Aggies ' 13 players took part in drills, headlined by unanimous All-American edge rusher Cashius Howell , defensive tackle Albert Regis , linebacker Taurean York , and defensive tackle Tyler Onyedim , while linebacker Scooby Williams did not partake in any drills.
On Friday, tight end Nate Boerkircher and cornerback Will Lee III will take center stage, while star wide receiver KC Concepcion , who transferred to Texas A&M before the 2025 season, will take the field on Saturday, and according to one source, the versatile pass catcher is one of the most sought-after prospects in the entire draft class this week.
On Thursday, NFL analyst Ryan Fowler revealed that the Aggie wideout has 23 scheduled meetings this week, meaning just nine NFL teams will not meet with Concepcion. If he performs as expected on Saturday, it's almost guaranteed that he'll be selected in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft.
During his one and only season in College Station, Concepcion led the Aggies in receiving yards, finishing with 61 receptions for 919 yards and nine touchdowns, while rushing for 75 yards and a score, and averaging 18.2 yards per punt return and two punt return touchdowns. Only standing 5'11", Concepcion should thrive in the slot, while his elite speed and separation burst make him a mismatch against linebackers and most safeties.
Whichever team drafts him is gaining an immediate punt returner with high upside as a potential starter, and his combine performance can only help bolster his case as a first-round selection.
