Texas A&M's 2026 Maroon & White Spring Game date, time announced
Texas A&M's 2026 spring football season is less than a month away, with the first practice set for Friday, March 20, and will conclude on Saturday, April 18, with the annual Maroon & White Spring Game to officially put a bow on the spring campaign. Entering the offseason, third-year head coach Mike Elko and his revamped coaching staff will now have the opportunity to evaluate all 17 transfer portal additions.
After finishing 11-2 and 7-1 in SEC play this past season, combined with the program's first appearance in the College Football Playoff, Mike Elko's significant contract extension was warranted, further proving his ability to succeed on the recruiting trail and consistently replenish the roster through the transfer portal over the last two offseasons.
Knowing that more than a dozen players, starters/reserves, including 13 players invited to the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, adding veteran talent at nearly every position was crucial to avoiding a potential rebuild, and outside of landing another veteran running back, the Aggies look improved at multiple positions, especially in the secondary.
However, any success the Aggies see in 2026 will hinge on starting quarterback Marcel Reed improving in the pocket and proving he can compete against the SEC's best defenses. It's also notable that, since entering the SEC before the 2024 season, Texas A&M has yet to defeat the Texas Longhorns at home or on the road, and will once again host its rival, likely with postseason implications on the line.
On Saturday, the Marron & White Spring Game time was announced, with kickoff at 1:00 p.m. CT, while admission is free. A channel option has yet to be announced, but it is assumed that the game will be available to stream on SEC Network+.
