Texas Tech lands transfer portal commitment from Washington's Bryce Butler
The Texas Tech football team landed another transfer portal commitment to regroup the defensive front.
On3's Hayes Fawcett reported Monday morning that Washington defensive lineman Bryce Butler has committed to the Red Raiders . Butler is a 6-foot-5, 320-pounder who was listed as a junior this season.
Butler began his career are Garden City Community College before spending the last two years with the Huskies. He appeared in 15 total games for Washington, including 13 in 2025 with one start. He totaled 19 tackles, two sacks and a fumble recovery.

Butler is the second defensive lineman to commit out of the portal, joining Akron's Julian Laventure . The pair will be tasked with providing depth up front as the Red Raiders replace Lee Hunter and Skyler Gill-Howard.
Butler totaled a season-high five tackles in Washington's Nov. 29 game against Oregon .
