Anthony Davis
finds himself dealing with yet another injury, with his left hand being the cause of concern this time around. Initial reports suggested that the Dallas Mavericks'
big man had suffered ligament damage and was likely to undergo surgery, ruling him out for months.
However, some notable media outlets, including ESPN Insider Shams Charania, appeared to have incorrect information, which Davis denied soon enough.

While Davis did not mention any names, many alluded to it as a dig at Shams, who later clarified that the Mavs star did not require surgery after a second opinion and would be re-evaluated in six weeks. However, even before AD could address the issue, former player-turned-analyst Kendrick Perkins
had already provided his medical assessment of Davis.
At the time, Perkins reacted to Charania's initial report that claimed Davis was likely to miss the remainder of the season after his surgery.

"Let me say this. I feel bad for AD. I'm not going to come on here and criticize and kill
Anthony Davis
because all right, his history tells us, you know, he's going to get hurt getting up out the bed,"
said
Big Perk during a recent episode of the Road Trippin' podcast.
"But, I do believe, it should be a study on Anthony Davis. I think a group of doctors, scientists need to do a study on this man's body, and I'm being serious. I'm not even being funny,"
he added.
Perkins shares his findings on The Brow
It's no secret that Davis has struggled with injuries throughout his career, something he often gets trolled online for as well. Recently, addressing the 32-year-old's hand injury, Perkins could not help but list out several odd factors associated with AD's anatomy and family gene pool.

"I want y'all to think about this. Anthony Davis in his high school career, grew about eight inches in a summer. You ever met Anthony Davis' parents? They're not the tallest parents in the world. He has a twin sister that is short as hell,"
mentioned the Boston Celtics
veteran.
"You ever watch AD walk? When you look at his hips, he got a different type of walk. Something is up with those bones and ligaments throughout his body because it's nowhere in hell a guy gets injured the amount of times that he did,"
added Perkins.
Simultaneously, the trade rumors around Davis are heating up once again, especially since the ten-time All-Star will no longer require surgery. With the deadline around the corner, a new suitor in the form of the Toronto Raptors
has emerged, among others.

The Brow could be moving out soon
The Luka Doncic-AD "trade has surely not gone according to plan for the Mavericks organization. Adding to it has been Kyrie Irving
's unfortunate injury. Nonetheless, the front office in Dallas could be heading into a rebuild centered around rookie sensation Cooper Flagg
.
Other potential destinations making a run for AD include the Milwaukee Bucks
and Los Angeles Clippers
.
There is no denying that durability has always been a concern for Davis, who, when healthy, is a Top 10 player in the league. A Top 75 player, his versatility on both ends of the court is what makes him a plus on any team. Nevertheless, given his recent injury history, it may be time for teams to consider whether the pros still outweigh the cons.
