The Chicago Bulls were ranked 13th among all NBA teams in terms of best offseasons by veteran NBA reporter David Aldridge after adding shooting guard Norman Powell and center Nic Claxton this offseason.
Recently, Powell was a surprise entrant onto a prestigious top 100 list shared by the most popular NBA video game in recent years, the NBA 2K series, specifically its NBA 2K27 iteration.

The game is scheduled for release on September 4 and includes Powell among a list of three Bulls players on its top 100 for the upcoming season.

Powell Joins Buzelis, Giddey on Top 100 List
Powell nearly matched his career high with 21.7 points per game last season for the Miami Heat , .1 points off of his career best mark set in 2024-2025.
The former Toronto Raptor, Portland Trail Blazer and Los Angeles Clipper tied his new Bulls teammate Josh Giddey for the best NBA 2K27 rating among Chicago Bulls players according to a list released on Monday.
Powell was ranked 63rd among all NBA players with an 84 rating in the game while Giddey was ranked 62nd and was also given an 82 ranking.

Rounding out the top 100 among Bulls players was Matas Buzelis , who was listed as the game's 92nd best player with a rating of 81 overall.
Bulls rookie Caleb Wilson didn't make the top 100, but came in fourth among rookies with an overall rating of 77, two points behind A.J. Dybantsa in the number one spot.
Bulls Trio Faces New Challenge
The Bulls' trio will now face the tall task of taking Chicago back to the NBA Playoffs as they seek to blend in and work in concert with new head coach Tiago Splitter , Wilson, fellow rookie Dailyn Swain and other newcomers.
Powell is familiar with the Eastern Conference dating back to his time with the Heat last season and the Raptors prior to that, but must acclimate himself fast to a new system and teammates.

A consummate professional who is always in tip top condition, Powell should pair well with Giddey, his new starting point guard.
Giddey has played in 114 games with the Bulls over two seasons and appears to be hitting his stride as a playmaker equally capable of setting up teammates and getting his own offense.
Buzelis is the wild card of the bunch as a third year player who still appears to be just scratching the surface of his considerable talents.
The former G-League draft pick worked with NBA legend Dirk Nowitzki this offseason and is chasing bigger things in 2026-27 including his first NBA All-Star Game appearance on the heels of a NBA Slam Dunk Contest appearance in 2025-2026.

The Bulls' core is one of the youngest in the NBA, and that includes coach Splitter.
If Chicago is to take the next step this season, it will take a team effort, and Powell could be the guy to lead the way as the veteran of this young and exciting group.
