Three reasons Wisconsin football struggles against Notre Dame
After an eon of waiting, the college football season is here, and with that comes the Wisconsin Badgers under the bright lights of Lambeau Field, up against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish .
While positivity is rife across the nation, as each team believes this could be their year, you would be hard-pressed to find a more difficult matchup to kick off Luke Fickell' s fourth full season at the helm. Today's task is to analyze where the Badgers may struggle to stop the Irish this Labor Day weekend.

No. 1 CJ Carr's Heisman campaign gets underway
As just a redshirt freshman, the Notre Dame quarterback tallied 2,741 yards 24 touchdowns and 6 interceptions, all while notching a stellar 66.6% completion rate. Carr also added 3 rushing touchdowns. With another year of development under offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock, Carr will be ready to launch his season on the right note.
No. 2 Leonard Moore
While Fickell has publicly stated that the lockdown cornerback won't affect their offense, there is no doubt that transfer quarterback Colton Joseph won't have one less outlet to throw to.

No. 3 Third-down questions
Year one with offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes did not go to plan in any facet. Since then, the Badgers have reinforced via the NCAA Transfer Portal, but one of last season's ugliest stats was Wisconsin's 32.26% third-down conversion rate. In order to beat the Irish, it will take extensive drives, something the Badgers failed to do last season.
