The Oklahoma City Thunder are adding another wing to their roster, agreeing to a two-year deal with former Chicago Bulls first-round pick Dalen Terry .
According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Terry will join Oklahoma City after spending time with the Bulls and Philadelphia 76ers. The former No. 18 overall pick also attended training camp with the Golden State Warriors last month before playing for their G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.
Terry now gets another opportunity to establish himself in the NBA, joining a Thunder team dealing with a difficult stretch of injuries.

Oklahoma City has been hit especially hard after Jalen Williams, Chet Holmgren and Cason Wallace all suffered injuries in the same game on October 25. According to ESPN Research, the Thunder became the first team in 50 years to have three starters suffer injuries in one game, and then all miss their next 20 games or more (eventually).
That leaves Oklahoma City needing additional depth as it tries to navigate the absences of several key contributors. Terry gives the team another wing option who can compete for minutes while the roster works through its injury issues.
The 18th overall selection in the 2022 NBA Draft spent his first few seasons with Chicago before also getting an opportunity in Philadelphia. However, he has yet to establish himself as a consistent rotation player, making this deal an important chance to extend his NBA career.
For the Thunder, the move provides another body at a position where injuries have created a need for reinforcements. Terry will now have an opportunity to contribute to a team dealing with an unusual run of bad injury luck.
