- Tim Stutzle and Drake Batherson Stats Lighting It Up for Ottawa Senators

The Ottawa Senators are off to a solid 9-6-1 start to the year, and two players have more than held their own offensively and consistently. With the play, and more importantly, Tim Stutzle and Drake Batherson stats, they have been able to power the Sens offence to success early. So let's discuss, let's get sensational.

With his early play, the Drake Batherson stats are making him look like every part of the dynamic duo with superstar Tim Stutzle . However, Ottawa Senators rumours have been present in wanting to add to their offence within the top-six forwards, but these are two players are getting it done, plain and simple, making the net ripple. So far, the team has struggled somewhat with offensive depth consistently, but they have been getting it done as a group defensively. That is a very good sign for head coach Travis Green and crew as their gameplan is being executed. But we are talking about the two snipers leading the charge for these boys from Ottawa.
Throughout their time in Ottawa, the Sens are 24-9-1 when both Stutzle and Batherson score, that included the game recently at the home of the San Jose Sharks .
Stutzle and Batherson play a lot together. Throughout the the years, they have spent a lot of time on the top power play unit and even out there in the final minutes of games. It is a natural progression that they find themselves climbing up the Ottawa Senators franchise record books at a steadying pace.
We would expect that the two star Senators are moving their respective ways up the all-time Ottawa Senators list. Currently, they are tied with 158 career goals as Ottawa Senator players. There are only seven players who have ever scored more goals in an Ottawa Senators sweater. Next up is Mike Fisher's 167 goals. One-two is Jason Spezza (251) and Daniel Alfredsson (426), so a bit of work to get to the top, but moving up the list, is exactly what they are doing.
Tim Stutzle and Drake Batherson stats have been off the charts early on in 2026-27. They each had nine goals during the calendar month of October, good for a tie for second in team history. You may have heard of the two guys they tied with, Marian Hossa and Alexei Yashin. In contrast, the record holder is a little more unpredictable, Bob Kudelski.
For reference, Kudelski was a Yale graduate, who didn't have a long NHL career, but his 1993-94 season was an unforgettable one. He was traded to the Florida Panthers partway through that season. Furthermore, his stat line from that season was 86 games played, 40 goals, 30 assists, for a total of 70 points. Otherwise his career high was 23 goals, which he hit on two separate occasions.
But back to the topic at hand and from last year, the two main line combinations for Drake Batherson stats to include were with David Perron and Dylan Cozens for just under 140 minutes, as well as with Claude Giroux and Tim Stutzle for a little over 260 minutes on ice together. Those lines compiled expected goal percentages of 65.1 percent and 59.2, respectively.
So far this year, Batherson has played a lot with Warren Foegele, Dylan Cozens, Tim Stutzle, and even Stephen Halliday. But the one constant is that Stutzle and Batherson find themselves out there when together when Ottawa needs a goal, and more often than not, they have find a way to break through on the scoresheet.
This is the emergence of an offensive presence in their lineup that everyone knew the Sens would need, as you are starting to see the gap already in why they would need a top-six forward providing consistent scoring punch to the top of their lineup. Batherson has 18 points, and the next is Shane Pinto with 11 on the year. Stutzle leads the way with 21. Moreover, William Eklund will be a welcomed sight to see when he does return to the lineup. Eklund is expected to miss about another five weeks or longer recovering from an ankle injury.
So the Sens will have to continue to rely on Stutzle and Batherson for a while longer. That is unless general manager Steve Staios pulls the trigger on a move.
