After defeating the Indianapolis Colts in their first regular-season win, the Tennessee Titans return home to face the Cleveland Browns in Week 7. With a few offensive skill-position players listed as questionable heading into Sunday, the Titans' practice squad elevations included some insurance.
The Titans are now consistently using both practice squad elevations, with RB Kelel Mullings getting his second call-up and WR K.J. Osborn his first this season. Mullings' first call-up came against the Houston Texans in Week 5, which saw him notch one carry for three yards and 15 special teams snaps.
Titans backup RB Tyjae Spears is listed as questionable again this week after being limited at Friday's practice due to a knee injury. While Mullings' value will likely be more utilized on special teams, his receiving a late-game carry against the Texans over third-string RB Julius Chestnut could mean he would be in line to spell starter Tony Pollard if Spears is ruled out.
As for Osborn, WR Calvin Ridley did not practice Thursday or Friday and is listed as questionable with a hip injury. Ridley has received anywhere between the second- and fourth-most snaps by a receiver in a game this season. If he is ruled out, Osborn will likely split WR4 reps with Chimere Dike, while Elic Ayomanor becomes the undisputed WR3.
The Titans will take on the Browns at 1 PM EST/12 PM CST on Sunday at Nissan Stadium, with CBS carrying it on TV.
