Titans held virtual pre-draft meeting with productive SMU pass rusher

NFL teams are in the final stretch heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, and as each day passes, more prospect visits come to light, helping analysts and fans figure out which players their favorite teams are interested in.

The Tennessee Titans are no different and are in the midst of finalizing their pre-draft preparations. On Monday, the name of another potential prospect of interest came to light when Justin Melo of the NFL Draft on Sports Illustrated reported that the Titans have held a virtual Zoom meeting with SMU edge Isaiah Smith.

A late-round prospect, Smith looks the part of an NFL edge at 6-foot-4, 248 pounds, but lacks the elite measurables to make a consistent impact in the league. A solid all-around prospect, he is experienced and improved every season with the Mustangs . For his career, he recorded 111 total tackles (59 solo), with 23 sacks, and 28 tackles for loss in four seasons.

Smith may lack the prototypical athleticism, but his high motor and football IQ help compensate for his lack of athletic traits. Technically sound, he could develop into a solid rotational depth piece in the league, and he could be on the radar late in the draft.
