Titans host Georgia Tech DT Jordan van den Berg on a pre-draft visit

Not only are the Tennessee Titans busy hosting players at their local pro day, but it also appears they are busy with other prospects as well.

On a social media post, Georgia Tech defensive lineman Jordan van den Berg indicated he is spending the day at Vanderbilt Medical Football Center with the Titans.

One of the more shocking NFL Scouting Combine snubs, van den Berg put on a show at his pro day, putting up numbers that would have squarely placed him near the top of those tested at the combine. The 6-foot-3, 310-pound defensive lineman showed off his athletic prowess and recorded some of the best measurables in this class with a 4.19 shuttle, a 36-inch vertical, a 4.91 40-yard dash, and 35 reps at 225 on the bench.

A fifth-year senior, van den Berg broke out as a senior in his second season with Georgia Tech, after three years at Penn State. More of a run stuffer than a pass rusher, he is stout at the point of attack and can be disruptive by forcing double teams. He finished his college career with 90 total tackles (48 solo), 5 5. sacks and one forced fumble over 54 games.

The Titans could look to add another interior presence in the draft, and van den Berg could be an intriguing sleeper that has the athletic profile to fit Robert Saleh’s scheme.
