Is it possible that Coen Carr and Jeremy Fears Jr. could take another leap this year? Michigan State basketball head coach Tom Izzo seems to think that will be the case, and that's a scary thought for the rest of the country. In a recent media session , Izzo said that he feels Carr and Fears have 'improved enormously' over the summer.
In particular, Izzo noted that Jeremy Fears Jr. has improved on the defensive end of the ball, which wasn't exactly a weakness of his, but it sounds like it might become a strength this season. Fears is already one of the betting favorites to be the National Player of the Year even before anyone outside of MSU's locker room has seen his development, so it's exciting to think about what could be coming there.
For Coen Carr, another leap on defense or with his ball-handling could be massive, and obviously, if he can ever start to hit shots reliably, he's going to end up in the NBA very soon.
