Tony Bellew has urged Jack Grealish to speak to Everton fans.
The Manchester City loanee has been in the headlines recently for all the wrong reasons after being excluded from the Toffees' squad for the double-header against Newcastle United.
Before the 3-1 Carabao Cup victory, supporters learned of the England international's absence from the squad for apparently missing training without the club's permission.
David Moyes also left Grealish out of the squad for the trip to St James' Park.
The Blues beat the Magpies 1-0 in Tyneside without the 31-year-old's help.
While several unconfirmed rumours have circulated about the reason for the winger's absence, only he can clarify them.
Why Tony Bellew feels David Moyes did Jack Grealish a favour at Everton
Grealish seems to be getting the support he needs at Everton , but there's still no clarity about his availability.
Moyes has been tight-lipped about the whole situation and has refused to divulge any information.
In the post-match press conference after beating Newcastle at St James' Park, the Scottish manager said, "I don't know yet," when asked about Grealish's possible availability against Coventry City.
Frank Lampard's team travel to Hill Dickinson Stadium on 6 November, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm local time.
Speaking on the Outside the Box Pod on 4 November, Bellew said, "He has got to come out. I don't know what he has done. Come out and say something to the fans. That's on him.
"Moyes hasn't thrown him under the bus. And he quite easily could've. As a fanbase, we're all missing him. And we all absolutely adore Grealish. But you've got to come out and say, 'I've messed up.'"
Alan Brazil and Neil Warnock agree on what's next for Jack Grealish at Everton What next steps around Jack Grealish should be at Hill Dickinson Stadium
Grealish showed last season that he can still be a game-changer in the Premier League.
There's a reason the Toffees wanted to bring the Englishman back to Hill Dickinson Stadium, despite his significant injury layoff.
The Man City loanee hasn't scored or assisted for the Blues yet this season, but his impact is evident whenever he's on the ball.
Slowly integrating Grealish back into the team seems like the best approach and the club should make sure he gets the right support for his mental health.
Whenever the England international steps back onto the pitch for the Merseyside outfit, the Merseyside outfit's supporters will surely give him a rousing reception.
