NFL training camp is underway across the league and several Georgia Bulldogs that are NFL veterans remain free agents. Georgia running backs Nick Chubb and Zamir White are both without NFL teams. White did workout for a couple of NFL teams this offseason , but neither elected to sign him.
Other Georgia players that are free agents include offensive lineman Ben Cleveland , running back Kenny McIntosh and defensive back Chris Smith, who were all waived or released this offseason. Many of these players are hoping to latch on to an NFL roster during training camp. Injuries open up available roster spots and often times teams are more comfortable signing experienced players.
We'd expected multiple of these players to be signed this preseason. Some former Georgia players aren't currently healthy, so that's another reason why some players are free agents.
