Tottenham Hotspur attacker Xavi Simons is set to enter the final phase of his recovery later this month, according to The Times.
The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium club have been handed a huge boost as the Dutchman is ahead of schedule and is on track to return to the squad.
Xavi is expected to be reintegrated into first-team training in the coming days.
The 23-year-old Spurs star suffered an injury against Wolverhampton Wanderers back in April, rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee.
He missed the rest of the 2026-27 season as a result and also the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Tottenham boss Roberto De Zerbi has a great relationship with Xavi and thinks very highly of him .
He has been training on grass in recent weeks and having him back before the end of this month will be great news for the Lilywhites.
The Netherlands international joined Spurs from RB Leipzig in August 2025, and he ended the season with five goals and six assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
The North London club have won their last three Premier League games, with the returns of James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski proving crucial.
Xavi could soon join them in action, and Tottenham will be glad to have such a key player back on the pitch.
They have three wins, three draws and three defeats in their opening nine games of the 2026-27 Premier League and will be desperate to win more going forward.
