Free-Agent Tracker: Buccaneers' Undrafted Signees
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers drafted seven players during the 2026 NFL Draft, and after that, the franchise got to work on signing undrafted free agents and extending invites to rookie mini camp, which is scheduled to begin Friday, May 8.
Undrafted free agents are signed right away, whereas minicamp invites will be trying out with the team and, if all goes well, will be offered a contract.
As of this writing, the Bucs have signed 17 undrafted free agents and extended three more minicamp invites.
Headlining the list of UDFAs is Kansas QB Jalon Daniels .
Daniels spent six seasons at the KU, ending his career with 67 passing touchdowns, 31 interceptions and a 61.5 completion percentage.
He was also a threat with his legs, rushing for more than 400 yards three times and ending his career with 23 rushing touchdowns.
Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network first reported the news and added that the Bucs will pay Daniels $247,000 as a base salary, plus a $25,000 signing bonus.
Another intriguing signing is Central Florida offensive tackle Paul Rubelt, who Greg Auman of FoxSports first reported will be a Buc. Rubult is mammoth at 6-foot-10 and 313 pounds, and was born in Germany.
Rubult told reporters at Big 12 Media Days in July that he started playing football at 13, then really took to the sport when he went to Illinois as a foreign exchange student.
Like Daniels, Rubult played six seasons of college football, all at the same school.
Rubult started at both tackle positons over his time at UCF.
