"Trash a– miss, Wolf!" - Kevin Durant's hilarious reaction to a bricked shot by the Nets rookie

The  Houston Rockets  have won their fourth straight game, and it's largely due to their offseason addition and one of the greatest pure scorers the game has ever seen,  Kevin Durant , finding his rhythm and fitting perfectly into Houston's young and hungry core. On Thursday night, the Rockets were all business, blowing the undermanned Brooklyn Nets out of the building in a 120–96 win.

From the opening tip, the outcome never really felt in doubt. But while the scoreboard told one story, there was one moment in the second quarter that stole the spotlight, a sequence that left fans laughing, and well, KD momentarily stunned.

The shot hit Durant straight in his face

With just over two minutes left to play in the second quarter, Nets rookie forward Danny Wolf pulled up off the dribble for a three-pointer. And while it did seem like a good look for the rook, it was anything but. The shot missed everything, smashed off the backboard, and somehow traveled directly into Durant's face before bouncing out of bounds.

Durant immediately reacted, scratching his face and turning toward Wolf and saying what most of the fans were thinking.

"Trash a– miss, Wolf!"  Durant  said  while scratching his face after a bad miss.

It seemed like all in good fun for the Slim Reaper, who was stylistically recovering from the brick by the 6'11" Illinois native.  After the awkward exchange, Durant finished with 22 points and a season-high 11 assists, while the unfortunate rookie put up nine points on 4-of-10 shooting, including 1-of-4 from deep.

Durant is more expressive than ever

It seems that after a failed stint with the Phoenix Suns , Durant has finally found his joy back in Texas. He is currently averaging 25.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. While these are numbers KD has consistently put up over the years, what has changed is his demeanor on the court, and quite literally, off it.

Durant has always been known for not holding back on social media when slandered, and now it seems that same assertive, expressive energy has fully translated to the hardwood. His recent back-and-forth with Denver Nuggets ' Bruce Brown only showed that, and that kind of  more expressive and aggressive approach  on the court in Year 18 has earned praise from Lou Williams .

"I've never seen him dance before, that was the first time I've seen him dance,"  "Sweet Lou"  said  with a huge smile on his face.  "I have been competing against Kevin Durant since 2003, from high school on, and I've never seen him do that before. I love it."

This more aggressive, expressive version of Durant is exactly what the Rockets needed. And with the Western Conference more competitive than ever, that type of energy could very well be the "X-factor" for Ime Udoka as Houston chases postseason glory. Because with motivated KD, as well as young studs such as Alperen Sengun and Amen Thompson , this could very well be a season in which the Rockets make some noise. For now, things are looking good.
