Tremaine Jackson is earning a significant pay raise after leading Prairie View A&M to championship success in his 1st season. Per a report by Chris Hummer of 247Sports, the Prairie View A&M Athletic Department has amended Jackson’s contract, increasing his salary and the money for his staff.

“Prairie View A&M has amended HC Tremaine Jackson’s contract, giving him a significant salary and staff pool bump, a source tells @mzenitz, @bmarcello and me for @CBSSports. Jackson’s salary and the staff pool both jump by around 35%. There is also an increased rev share commitment,” Hummer posted on his X page

Jackson reacted to the news on his X account, saying, “Grateful to our players, AD Goff, and Dr. LeGrande for trusting us with this program. Proud to honor a staff that works at an elite level. Our best is still ahead—now it’s time to #FinishTheFight!!

Tremaine Jackson was seen as one of the biggest hires of the 2024 coaching cycle. He led Valdosta State University for three seasons, including two trips to the NCAA Division II playoffs. In his final season at Valdosta State, Jackson led the Blazers to a berth in the NCAA Division II National Championship game against Fayetteville State.

He then departed Valdosta State to join Prairie View A&M and immediately brought the team to success. They won the SWAC West division title and upset reigning SWAC champions Jackson State to win their 1st SWAC championship since 2009 and advance to the Cricket Celebration Bowl.

Now, Jackson looks to retool his team with a mantra of “finish the fight.” The “finish the fight” mantra is a response to Prairie View A&M’s Celebration Bowl loss to South Carolina State , in which the Panthers enjoyed a 21-0 halftime lead before ultimately losing the game 40-38 after 4 overtimes.
