After Jesse Minter noted that Tyler Loop was going to miss the Baltimore Ravens ' Thursday Night Football showdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Monday, fans openly wondered how long the collegiate Arizona Wildcat would be out of action.
On Tuesday, fans got their answer, with Loop officially set to miss at least four weeks after joining Lamar Jackson, Ethan Pocic, and almost a dozen other players on injured reserve in what is really starting to feel like a cursed season in Charm City.
"We have placed K Tyler Loop (right groin) on Injured Reserve," Baltimore shared on social media.

Discussing the Ravens' kicking situation during practice, Minter noted that he feels comfortable with Jake Moody filling the role in the short term, as he's been a member of the organization before and has kicked well in practice .
"Yeah, I mean, he's, you know, we've obviously had him in and out of here a couple times," Minter said. "So he's kicked well. I think when he's been here, he's kicked well in practice. And so again, a guy like, 'Hey, stay ready, be ready when your number's called.' You know, you're ready to go. So excited for him to have the opportunity."
Initially drafted with a top-100 pick by the San Francisco 49ers in 2023 , Moody's NFL career hasn't gone quite as planned since joining the pro ranks out of Michigan, bouncing from Santa Clara, to the Chicago Bears, to the Washington Commanders, and finally to Baltimore since 2025. While only time will tell if this stop turns out better than his last few employment opportunities, if Moody falters, the Ravens have a ready-made replacement in Loop once he's cleared to return.
