UNC defensive back Thaddeus Dixon met with Saints at pro day

2026 NFL Draft pro days are upon us, with what feels like every prominent school around the nation hosting its respective workouts over the next few days. The New Orleans Saints have been at nearly all of them based on reports, including the vast majority of the ones involving high-end prospects. With their staff splitting up and covering as much ground as possible, there are plenty of reports indicating some of the visits they have had during this span of time.

One of the names who recently got added to that list was University of North Carolina defensive back Thaddeus Dixon, a high-end outside cornerback who missed a decent chunk of 2025 due to an injury.

Dixon was only able to appear in seven games this season, one of which was against Clemson in Week 6, where he sustained the injury and left relatively early. He was able to make it back for Week 13 and Week 14, though, and did run a couple of drills at the combine, posting a 39-and-a-half-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-5 broad jump.

2025 was a difficult year for Dixon in terms of stats, as he posted 17 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 2 penalties, allowing 16 receptions on 26 targets (61.5% completion rate) for 244 yards and a touchdown. 2024 was much more up to the standard expected of him, as in 12 games plus a bowl game, he had 34 tackles, 1 interception, 10 pass breakups, and 6 penalties, while allowing 24 receptions on 51 targets (47.1% completion rate) for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns.

He is certainly a fascinating prospect for the Saints to look into this offseason, and could be a corner they look at to fill their need at the position for the coming years.
