The 2026 transfer portal has been open for just a few days now and a record number of players have entered the portal with 3,000-plus entries so far. For North Carolina , they are using the portal to retool the roster after a disappointing first season in Chapel Hill.
Earlier on Sunday, the Tar Heels landed a commitment from quarterback Billy Edwards and now, hours later they have two more pieces on the offense.
North Carolina landed a commitment from Charleston Southern offensive lineman Andrew Threatt on Sunday afternoon. It's the second commitment for UNC in the portal cycle and gives them another option on the offensive line.
Shortly after that, the Tar Heels added another piece on offense as wide receiver Jonathan Bibbs committed to the program out of UL-Monroe. With North Carolina losing some talent at wide receiver, getting depth there is crucial.
The 6-foot-2, 175-pound wide receiver had 26 catches for 383 yards and three touchdowns in his freshman season.
