No team in college football scores more points per game than the Miami Hurricanes.
Knowing the North Carolina Tar Heels just dropped a game in overtime to Syracuse, it's safe to say they could be in trouble against the No. 1-ranked team in the country.

Miami's offense is led by Heisman hopeful Darian Mensah, who's thrown 22 touchdowns to just one interception this season.
Mensah is only a junior, so one can only imagine just how good he can be if he decides to return to Miami next season.
The projected first-round pick is playing for his third team in the last three years, and he's actually already played against UNC in his career.
Second-year head coach Bill Belichick got a chance to look at Mensah when he was with the Duke Blue Devils in 2025.
Not only that, but Duke played at UNC that year, so Mensah is already 1-0 at Kenan Stadium, and now he has far more weapons to deal with than he ever did with the Blue Devils.

Miami averages 49 points per game
To really put things into perspective, Javian Mallory and Mark Fletcher Jr. have more rushing yards than UNC's entire team combined .
Mallory is a standout freshman who's averaging 7.5 yards per attempt. He's putting up video-game-like numbers with his 59 carries for 444 yards and seven touchdowns.
Fletcher Jr. is right there with him, as the senior also has seven touchdowns. Both are Florida natives, though Fletcher Jr. has a much larger sample size at 81 carries for 414 yards.
Somehow, his 5.1 yards per carry looks like nothing compared to what Mallory is doing.

If you think Miami's run game is impressive, wait until Mensah's numbers are broken down.
Through seven games, Malachi Toney leads the nation with 66 receptions, and he's third with 952 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns.
Everyone wants to talk about Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, and for good reason, but Toney is rivaling his 984 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Mensah has 620 more passing yards than Billy Edwards Jr., and he's thrown exactly double the number of touchdowns with four fewer interceptions.
Edwards Jr.'s 60.2% completion percentage is made to look like garbage compared to Mensah, who has thrown the ball three more times and has an 81.4% completion percentage.

Mensah has only been sacked eight times compared to the 15 times that Edwards Jr. has gone down, so it's clear just how much of a difference is between these offenses, and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
