The contest is one of nine games that will air on CBS Sports Network this season. The network will also air the Summit League tournament semifinals and championship game.
Three of the Bison's regular-season games will be broadcast nationally.
The Hawks were picked to finish sixth in the Summit League's preseason poll. North Dakota State, the defending regular-season and tournament champions, was voted No. 1.
The two teams will meet twice in the regular season. UND hosts the first game on Jan. 29, and NDSU hosts the second to close the regular season on Feb. 27.
UND has a 165-149 advantage in the all-time series against the Bison. Last season, however, North Dakota State swept its regular-season series with the Hawks.

UND suffered an 83-66 loss to the Bison on Feb. 14 at the Betty. On Feb. 28, NDSU defeated the Hawks 96-63 in Fargo.
The teams met for a third time in the Summit League tournament championship game on March 8. Again, the Bison came out on top, winning 70-62.
Both programs overhauled their rosters in the offseason. UND added four freshmen and seven transfers, while NDSU brought in five freshmen and eight transfers.
The Hawks open the regular season on Nov. 2 with a road game against Minnesota.
