USC is one of three Big Ten schools in the rankings. Interestingly, all three are West Coast schools, with UCLA coming in at No. 3 and Oregon and No. 7. The Trojans will face both the Bruins and Ducks later in the year.
While the season is long and there is a ton of baseball left to play, the fact that USC has started off the year strong a great sign. Andy Stankiewicz's team will look to continue its hot streak as nonconference play continues with a trip to Cal Poly this weekend.
