The No. 19 USC Trojans haven't had wide receiver Terrell Anderson for about half of the season, as he's been limited due to injuries. With Week 7 on the horizon, the program learned that it will be without Anderson for the remainder of the campaign.
Reports indicate that the junior wideout will undergo season-ending surgery to help him recover from an undisclosed injury , according to Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports. The Trojans lose one of their biggest acquisitions through the transfer portal in the past offseason.
"USC standout receiver Terrell Anderson, who has been limited by an undisclosed injury throughout this season, is currently expected to undergo season-ending surgery, sources tell CBS Sports," Zenitz reported. "Anderson ranked as the 10th-best overall player in the transfer portal this past cycle."

Anderson appeared in just three games with USC. In those contests, he only managed to haul in two receptions for 50 yards. The unknown injury certainly spoiled his potential with the Trojans this season.
Before playing for USC, Terrell Anderson played two years with the NC State Wolfpack. He played as a backup as a freshman in the 2024-25 season before taking on a bigger role the following season. Through 29 career games (with NC State and USC), Anderson has accumulated 55 receptions for 837 yards and six touchdowns.
Quarterback Jayden Maiava will play the remainder of the 2026-27 campaign, relying on a wide receiver group consisting of sophomore Tanook Hines, true freshman Kayden Dixon-Wyatt, and sophomore transfer Zacharyus Williams. It's a young core, as the immediate backups Tron Baker, Ethan Feaster, and Roderick Tezeno are all true freshmen.
USC will continue the season with a Week 7 matchup against an up-and-down Penn State Nittany Lions team. That game is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, October 10 at 7:30 p.m. EST.
