🎙️I’ve come full circle: Di María speaks again about the national team
As the 2026 World Cup approaches, the figure of Ángel Di María is once again at the center of the football debate. The current Rosario Central forward broke his silence to reaffirm his position regarding the Argentina National Team , dispelling any doubts about a possible return for the World Cup event. "It's not that I don't want to, but I've completed a cycle," stated "Fideo," who prefers to make way for the new generations after having won every possible title.
The weight of history and the most special title
Despite the glory achieved in Qatar , Di María surprised everyone by choosing the 2021 Copa América as the most significant moment of his career with the Albiceleste. For the winger, that goal at the Maracanã against Brazil meant a personal and collective "unlocking" that ended a 28-year drought. As he explained, winning with his country after years of frustration in previous finals was the ultimate reward for his constant sacrifice.

Messi 's gift versus Cristiano 's effort
Having shared the locker room with the two greatest stars of the era, Di María analyzed their differences with a striking phrase. While he defined Cristiano Ronaldo as an unparalleled example of hard work and professionalism, he described Lionel Messi as someone chosen. "Leo would drink mate in the locker room and then show that he had a gift that God gave him," he concluded, emphasizing that the generational overlap with the Rosario native was the only obstacle that prevented the Portuguese from being indisputably number one.
