Former NFL star Andrew Luck hasn't thrown a pass in a game since 2018, but fans are convinced he's still got franchise-altering talent.
Luck, the No. 1 pick from the 2012 NFL Draft, was considered the best quarterback prospect since Peyton Manning. Despite facing unfair expectations, the four-time Pro Bowler constantly met the moment. Unfortunately, he retired at the age of 29 due to injuries. He finished his time in the NFL with 23,671 passing yards and 171 touchdowns.

Even though Luck hasn't given any indication that he wants to play football again, fans have constantly asked if a comeback is in the cards.

On Aug. 4, Stanford's football team shared a video of Luck tossing passes to tight end Zach Ertz on the practice field. Ertz, who suffered an ACL injury last season, plans on returning to the NFL for at least one more run.
While the spotlight was supposed to be on Ertz since he's still in the NFL, most fans couldn't get over the sight of Luck throwing dimes on the gridiron.

"Keep the camera on 12 I wanna see if he's still got it," one fan said.
"Still got it," a second fan commented.
"How many NFL QBs is current Luck better than," a third fan wrote.
"What would Andrew Luck's stat line be this season if he walked on to a team in his current build/shape?" a social media user asked.
What is Andrew Luck up to?
Back in November 2024, Luck agreed to a deal with Stanford that made him the football program's general manager.

"I'm very thankful for what football has given me," Luck said. "In many, many ways on many, many levels. Stanford is one of those deeper levels. There's something about it, especially the people there. This is going to be a daunting challenge. It's a steep climb. But I'm fired up."
Barring a sudden change of heart, Luck is expected to keep this role for the 2026 college football season. As for his future, some fans are holding out hope that he'll eventually run an NFL team.
