Cowboys linebacker Von Miller is going to bat for his team's coaching staff following Sunday's embarrassing OT loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The veteran pass rusher logged his first sack in a Dallas uniform in the 33-30 defeat.
And after seeing the narrative surrounding Brian Schottenheimer and the rest of the team's coaches , Miller attempted to back the organization with a metaphor.

Von Miller says Week 8 loss to Cardinals 'Not a reflection of our coaching staff'
Per The Athletic's Jon Machota, the eight-time Pro Bowler likened the situation to that of a parent raising their kids.
"I'm a parent, I got three kids," Miller explained . "Sometimes you raise your kids a certain way and you teach them lessons. You expect them to act a certain way when they go out."
"And sometimes the kids just go out there and do things that are not a reflection of who you are as a parent. And I use that reference for our coaching staff," he said. "We have amazing coaches that keep us prepared, ready to go mentally, physically, emotionally. They breathe life into us, and just for whatever reason, that's the product.
"The product that went out there is not a reflection of our coaching staff. This is pro sports. This is not parenting. So at the end of the day, the buck has to stop somewhere. Somebody's going to get the blame," the former All-Pro added.
"But my opinion, this is just me, I don't know nothing about football. I only played 16 years. We've got great coaches. We've got a great coaching staff. And that's not a reflection of how they coach us and get us ready every week."
Unfortunately there are some pretty stark differences between coaching and parenting — the biggest being unconditional love.
If things aren't being communicated effectively from the coaches to the players, then something has to be done to fix the disconnect .
The Cowboys are 3-5 through the first eight weeks with three losses in their last four games. And it seems no matter who's coaching, or playing for The Star, its been the same result for more than three decades.
