Despite all the injuries that the Golden State Warriors have dealt with this season, they still have a chance to make the playoffs, but they'll need to win two games in the play-in. Their first opponent will be the Los Angeles Clippers , and though the injury report hasn't come out yet, Jimmy Butler is sharing his status with everyone.
Butler went on his Instagram and trolled fans with a post regarding his status .
"I am listed as doubtful for Wednesday game against [the] Clippers. Stay tuned for updates," Butler said.
It's not that anyone was checking for Butler's status, because everyone knew there was a 0% chance that he was playing. Butler has been out for most of the season because of a torn ACL, and he won't be coming back until next season.
The Warriors could honestly use a healthy Butler right now, as it's been a rough season for the team. Stephen Curry missed most of the games post-All-Star break and just returned over a week ago. He's still not ready to max out his minutes, and Steve Kerr noted that he won't be playing 40 minutes.
That means they'll have to manage his minutes wisely in the game, and the hope is that other players can step up when he goes to the bench.
Outside of Butler, Moses Moody suffered a knee injury a few weeks ago that has sidelined him for the rest of the season as well.
There have also been other injuries that the Warriors have dealt with throughout the season, such as Draymond Green , Kristaps Porzingis and Al Horford , just to name a few. It's been hard for the team to find any kind of rhythm together because everyone being in and out of the lineup, and they've found themselves in a win-or-go-home situation to figure it out.
